Erato at work

Erato (quite a busy muse) is working overtime lately after Valentine's Day.  She generally avoids that craziness.  Tonight, she has a slow, but noisy rain going on outside.  For a Friday night, that's pretty nice.  All of the world's lovers are delighted that the work week is over.  She advises: easy dinner (something you don't have to cook), a bottle of red (Zinfandel is nice), and a soft, cozy sofa or bed.  Turn on a movie and enjoy.  In the ancient Greek era, Erato may have recommended a night of star-gazing as opposed to the movie, but that wouldn't have worked at all well with the slow, noisy rain. What did the ancient Greeks do with a slow, noisy rain at night??  Anyone?
