Grammarians are often accused of being pedantic or too straight-laced, but most well-informed grammarians won't object to a split infinitive or a preposition at the end of a sentence. After all, writing or talking is all about communicating. What's the point of being off-putting when trying to get a message across? (See, there's a preposition at the end). Language changes to suit purposes and to express new ideas. Even Shakespeare came up with his own words to suit his purposes.
